Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: Paper about the Great takedown of Grateful Dead on Archive.org

The paper is a pleasant read. I remember the horror quite well. And the subject mirrors the GD collection and the OTR forced removal to some extent.
It does reinforce my feeling the Internet Archive itself needs a historian. The personalities behind the Archive, its programing and physical mechanism, the growth of its collection structure, and the community of Forums all have an undocumented story. The "servici" attacks of the mid 2000's alone would make an interesting read.
I hope someone is keeping notes.
